TRAINING COURSE:
INVESTIGATING ANIMAL ABUSE FOR LAW
ENFORCEMENT
The ASPCA (American Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
and the Center for Public Safety and Justice announce a
self-paced course offered via the
Internet.
This program examines:
officer safety during hazardous
situations involving animals; animal
abuse and community policing and the
linkages with other serious crimes;
investigative
and evidence collection
techniques and state laws. The
program makes extensive use of case
studies, simulations, video clips
and problem solving scenarios to
simulate the working
environment. For the
officer’s convenience, the course is
available 24-hours a day, seven-days
